Our Story

The Stewart’s first traveled to Aruba in 2008 on a family vacation.  Along with our two sons, Garyn and Dalen, we returned year after year to enjoy the Aruban people, predictable weather (sunshine) and beaches.  After the first couple years of enjoying Arubas’ “high rise” area, we began exploring the island and its wonderful offerings.  As our frequency of visits increased, our local friendships grew and our family’s love for Aruba blossomed.  Over the years we passed by the Aruba Beach Chalets on many occasions.  In the fall of 2019 we decided to explore a more localized area of Aruba; someplace where we could totally unplug and relax.  The search led us back to Aruba Beach Chalets.  Instantly Karen fell in love with the Chalets, the privacy it brings with the secluded beach, amazing views and beautiful sunsets.  In the morning hours Karen is often found sitting in a beach chair reading as the local fishermen catch baitfish for their daily fishing trips.  During the day, we both enjoy hanging out in the turquoise water, catching a few rays of sunshine, with a cold drink nearby.  During the evening Brian can be found relaxing on the deck listening to the waves.

My favorite restaurant was Flying Fishbone because I got to be right on the water and watch the stunning sunset! My favorite things to do in Aruba was ABC tours because I got to learn a lot about the island! I loved staying at the beach chalets in Aruba.

Karen's place was the perfect honeymoon location! After a week at one of the resorts, this was the nicest spot to relax and enjoy the other side of the island. The beach was so private and peaceful, and we loved having morning coffee on the balcony. Also very close to Flying Fishbone and just a short 15-20 minute drive to Baby Beach. Jansen met us at check-in and he was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back!

The location is gorgeous, comfortable, and quiet like I expected, but also came with a wonderful personal welcome at check-in, a detailed book of recommendations and the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. Karen's place is really beautiful and peaceful. It was great to experience Aruba in a different way (we have been to Aruba nine times). I highly recommend staying at Karen's place if yo want to be away from the busy touristy area and want to have a nice, quiet place to unwind. I highly recommend getting a rental car because it will come in handy when you wan tot get some groceries or go out to eat.

It was amazing. Jansen was very helpful. It was quiet and relaxing. Beautiful view especially from upstairs balcony. I highly recommend staying here. If you would like to snorkel you need to visit Baby Beach. Rent a cabana for $60 for the day. Only 10 minutes from the condo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks in Chalet 3. The accommodations at the Chalet were wonderful! Jansen checked us in and was very welcoming and helpful. The home was very tidy and had everything we could have needed! We were able to snorkel right off the beach and saw some really cool marine life about half way out to the breaker (a spotted moray eel, huge parrot fish, turtles, angelfish, seahorse, etc.). We traveled with our three daughters (14, 11, 9) and everyone found plenty of things to do and see to keep busy. Its very safe, the waves are pretty calm and the home is uniquely secluded. We will be back!!!

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place. It was beautiful, clean, quiet and everything you can ask for in a vacation. Really is a perfect oasis. The pool was amazing, we used it in the morning, afternoon and evening, pretty much relaxed there every time we came back from our outings. It's amazing watching the crabs walk along the wall, the birds fishing, the wind, pictures don't do it justice. Th beds are amazing! They were super comfortable, honestly one of the best sleeps ever in a stay. The kitchen is well equipped so don't worry about anything. They have it! Super spacious and open, so if you want to stay indoors, it almost feels like you are outside! Great job at making it perfect. Check in process was smooth and they were super friendly. They give you a tour of the house and you can ask them anything! We did. I would definitely stay there again for my future trips to Aruba if allowed.

"You wont find a more peaceful or beautiful oceanfront place on the island. This is our third trip to Aruba. We've stayed in resorts and in private homes, but none compare to our beach Chalet in Savaneta. We loved it so much we ditched our second rental to return for the last few days of our stay. The Chalet is spacious, beds are comfortable, all amenities are provided and a private pool on the ocean? Yes, please. It's our new favorite place and we'll be back. Our local host Fiarlogene has been professional and courteous, so helpful, and the owners were so kind to welcome us back with short notice. My only "warning" if you will are the stairs. "Staying here was perfect for us. We wanted to be away from the crowds and touristy things. The Chalets are in a quiet area but within driving distance to all the action. I would recommend you rent a car. We could hear the ocean while we slept, it was perfect for relaxing. The space was clean and we received all instructions for working the TV's, AC's, locks, etc., when we checked in. "This place is a gem!! Away from all the tourist area, peaceful, welcoming, and an absolutely perfect beach front condo!! It has everything you could need for a lovely relaxed stay! We loved listening to the waves at night and waking up to the sounds of the pelicans and seagulls! On the deck you have an oasis fro the hot sun with the perfect little bbq! Close by are little gourmet restaurants, places to explore, and at least three beaches with walking distance! The kids searched for shells, dug in the sand, watched lizards, spotted a peacock(!) and had some yummy homemade blended non-alcoholic drinks! This place is wonderful!! "The stay in Aruba was just what we needed. Relaxation! Karens Chalet was perfect. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beach chairs, umbrella, towels and so much more. She thought of everything. The view from the master bedroom was perfect. I can get used to waking up to see the ocean every day. I also have to shoutout to the property manager Jansen. He was a great host. He made sure we had all we needed. He responded quickly to any problems or questions we had. He gave is tips on places to go on the island. The communication was flawless and not only helpful, but very pleasant to work with. We had flight cancellations and had to find accommodations for an extra night. "If you are considering a trip to Aruba, look no further than Aruba Beach Chalets! We stayed in #3. You can't beat the location. Walk off the back deck onto the white sandy beach and swim in the bluest water I've ever seen. Wifi worked perfectly, the beds were comfortable and it has a kitchen with everything you might need to do some cooking. There are even beach chairs provided (the longer lounging kind) for you to soak up the sun (but definitely wear a lot of sunscreen). We loved being away from the high-rises and all the tourists. Some of our favs: Flying Fishbone, Kulture Cafe in San Nicholas for breakfast, O'Neils in San Nicholas for lunch, Sushi at Po-Ke Ono in the Rennaissance Marketplace, L.G. This was my familys first time in Aruba. I was nervous to book an Airbnb in a different country and to bring my two boys (ages 6 & 8). However, this place was perfect for us. The unit itself was well appointed, the beach access incredible and its location near the south made getting to places like Zeerover and Baby Beach super easy. Our kids had such a great time in Aruba from snorkeling in Boca Catalina and Mango Halto to playing in the surf in Eagle Beach and Arashi Beach. The donkey sanctuary was fun and climbing on the rocks near there was also pleasant. I hope we can come back some day, but even if we can't, I know the memories we made here will last forever. Lastly a special thanks to Fiarlogene who welcomed us to the Chalets and gave us lots of good advice on where to go and what to do. Also special thanks for lending us a fishing rod! We did try to fish a little but the wind made it a bit difficult. All in all, thank you very much Fiarlogene! Best wishes.

We spent 2 weeks at Chalet 3 and loved the place, the beautiful views and the sound of the ocean at night. It was so peaceful and easy to walk to nearby Savaneta beaches as well as driving to others further away. We were surprised and delighted that there were some snorkels, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and assorted floats for us to use. The place was spotless and even better than pictures!! Brian and Karen went out of their way to make our stay the best possible and even helped us with car rental. (We thought we could get by a few days with the local bus, but it is definitely better to rent a car.) We hope to go back some day and would definitely stay at the Chalet again.

I have been coming to Aruba for 30 years and almost always stay in the Pos Chiquito/Savaneta/Spaans Lagoen area. I have rented different Airbnb/VRBO each time and haven't returned to them for a 2nd stay for one reason or another....until now. The Chalet was amazing. Views of the water from anywhere on the main floor. Outdoor shower, private pool, almost private beach, and quiet. It was so peaceful. The master bedroom upstairs with the huge balcony overlooking the water was breathtaking. If there was a mini fridge in that room, I probably would have spent my nights there in the spacious sitting area. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. There was a wealth of information in a guidebook in the Chalet. While I didn't need to use it, I did find out that Karen and I have the same taste in food and people (Sheila at Marina Pirata). Jansen was amazing, kind, responsive and a gracious host. You won't regret booking here. I will definitely be back.

"The Aruba Beach Chalets have absolutely spoiled me! I have been coming to Aruba for years, but since staying here I honestly don't think I can go back to the main hotel strip. We stayed in Chalet 3. Right off the back deck is a white sandy beach with easy water access. We spent most of our time on the grounds as we preferred the quiet and secluded location over the hustle and bustle of the more popular beaches. I definitely recommend renting a car as Savaneta is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25 minutes from the high rise area. With more space, beachfront access and our own kitchen at an affordable price, the Chalets were exactly what we needed. Our hosts, Karen and Brian are absolute salt of the earth people who warmly welcomed us and had us feeling right at home. Thank you both!"

The welcome that we received from Jansen (property manager) was warm and friendly, and his support and communication during our stay was top notch. You will need to rent a car but it is only a 15 minute drive to just about anywhere you want to go. If you plan to walk the beach at night, I suggest having a light handy as there are some larger land crabs out & about at night. One reason we fell in love with this place was the location. We were away from the high rise/busy area but close enough drive there and we enjoyed doing just that a few times. Also, there are three phenomenal restaurants within a half mile away from the Aruba Beach Chalets. Brian, the owner of ABC 1, was very helpful on our trip. It was stocked with plenty of paper supplies and several key items like oil, salt, pepper, seasonings, every key kitchen appliance/utensil, and coffee. The place is right on the water if you're feeling adventurous, put on your water shoes and check out the reef, or sit by the water and watch the birds and sea creatures. "Wonderful place to stay in Aruba. We loved the location, as it is close to wonderful restaurants, food markets, and activities, but it is in a quiet area away from the big resorts. You can walk out on the back deck and the ocean is just a few steps away. The rental is absolutely wonderful, and has one of the best stocked kitchens of any we have rented. The furnishings are great from the quality of mattresses, the wonderful walk in showers, to the couches where you can lounge and watch a large screen TV. "This place has it all! You couldn't ask for a better location. It's just steps from the water. The back deck is the perfect place to relax and watch the waves. It's nice and quiet and away from the high rise, but centrally located on the island so you only a short drive away from any beach, restaurant, or shop. The Chalet was recently updated and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need if you prefer to cook your meals. The hosts were very helpful as well. We can't wait to go back"!
